First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Endeavor Global.
Managing Director
The interview process involved several conversations with board members (three in total) and the global president. The questions were detailed but generally welcoming, not aggressive. Some interviewers posed hypothetical scenarios about recruiting candidates, assessing companies, managing boards, and similar topics. I later found out that they also conducted multiple blind reference checks. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you outline the sequential steps you'd take to persuade an entrepreneur to start the candidate selection process?
- What's your methodology for convincing an entrepreneur to initiate the candidate selection process?
Research Manager
It started with a screening call with the hiring manager. Then there was a case study that involved quantitative analysis, cleaning data, and writing a memo. After that, there was a skill task to test project management and work allocation abilities. This was followed by a virtual interview where we discussed the deliverables for the case study and skill task. Then, I had 3 in-person interviews with different team members. Finally, there was a reference check.
- How do you learn new things?
Analyst
The selection process is well-structured, similar to a Trainee position. Even though it's for an Analyst role, I had to do an English test and a logical reasoning test, a presentation video, a case study solution, and an interview with HR. After that, there would be two more interviews with executives. The HR interview was informal, like a conversation. Two interviewers asked very diverse questions to learn about my life, personal aspects, check cultural fit, and some technical knowledge. Because there were so many questions, the interview was tiring.
- What is your experience with entrepreneurship? Have you ever started a business?
- Why Endeavor? What about the company catches your attention?
- Tell me about a time you felt most challenged.
CS Coordinator
My experience wasn't great for a coordinator role in São Paulo this year (May 2019). The process was poorly structured. Right after the screening, they send you an email with a case study to complete. The case has huge and vague questions, and they also ask you to record a video on YouTube. You have to create the case, record the video, and upload it, only for them to disqualify you before even discussing the case or having a personal interview or even a Skype call. It feels like they don't care; the company doesn't even talk to you or do a phone screening. Given my experience with other processes, they really messed up for a senior role. I got a very negative impression of the organization. Especially since I found out the position was filled by an internal referral. It's annoying because if it was an internal process, they shouldn't waste people's time like that. I think the recruitment team must be beginners, that's the only explanation.
- How would you segment the team?
- How would you handle a situation where the client does not wish to renew?
