After I interviewed and got positive feedback, there was no follow up. I reached out for an update after a while and got no reply. I get that they might have gone with someone else, but they seemed really into me at first and then just ghosted me.

So for the 2012 summer positions, the interview process was pretty simple. You send in your resume and cover letter, and if they like it, they'll give you a call for a first and then a second phone interview. The first one is mostly behavioral questions, and the second one focuses on how your skills might fit with the projects the team has planned for the summer. My advice is to really make your resume pop; I found out later they only interview a tiny handful of applicants, so getting that first interview is tough.

I got an email about an internship with the Marketing/Communications folks and they wanted me to come in pretty soon, like 3 hours after they sent the email. I did a bunch of research on the company before I went. I talked to the Senior VP and someone from Communications. They told me what the internship would be like and how I could help them out, especially with their events (ISP) and website stuff. They explained how the company works and then asked if I had questions. They said they were really interested and would be in touch. I sent a thank you email that same day, and they got back to me on Monday saying I got the internship.
