I went for the iOS Architect role on the Mobility+ app. It was a pretty professional process, but it took a while, like two months from start to finish. First, there was a call with HR and a Senior Architect. Then, a technical architecture interview. The onsite was packed: live coding, more technical stuff, a business chat, and finally, a talk with the Managing Director. Sadly, I didn't get it. They said another candidate was a better fit for what they needed right now. The job is basically about updating an old Swift/Objective-C app, breaking it down into modules, making the EV charging stuff more reliable, and building on SwiftUI and Combine. I'd studied those topics a lot.

  • Can you demonstrate how to implement list fetching and pagination?
  • Explain your strategy for implementing offline caching.

First, we introduced ourselves to each other. Then, we discussed the tasks. After that, questions about professional competence were asked. Your own questions were very welcome. Overall, it was a nice and relaxed job interview. There were no standard questions where you have to memorize your 'strengths and weaknesses'. EnBW is a great company!
