Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

First, an HR call to talk about motivation and personality, in French and English. Then, an Analyst/Associate round with technical questions on financial statements, valuation, LBOs, investment logic, and deals or your CV. A mini-case might be given. Finally, a VP/Principal round with a more in-depth case study: analyzing a target company (its business model, growth, risks), strategic discussion, and taking a clear stance (invest or not).

It was a 2-part process. First, an on-site test for about 2 hours. This test included general finance questions and some more personal questions. Then, there was an online or in-person interview that lasted 1 hour. The vibe was great, and it was a real back-and-forth discussion.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

I had one interview and a one hour exam. The interview was pretty standard, like you'd expect from HR. The managing director of the department interviewed me and asked some general questions about my past experience. The exam was tougher though, covering various topics like accounting and company valuation. It also included a written part where I had to discuss a current economic news item of my choice, and a business case where I was given details about a fictional company, its financials, and its industry to value it and explain my reasoning.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The business case, which required thorough preparation due to limited information, was a key part of the assessment.
