The interview itself was ok, with relevant questions being asked, but the recruiter promises of coming back with feedback & a response was a lie. I tried to follow up with them not once. Later I found that some of my colleagues who had friends at EA managed to get the same job. Absolutely disappointed by the interview process and the professionalism of the recruiters. Conflict of interests or “pile” as they call it in Romania. Expected more from this corporation.

I applied online and the whole thing took about a month. The hiring team and recruiter were really great and professional. They didn't waste my time at all. The interviews were well-designed, with questions that seemed relevant to actual game development challenges. First, there was a recruitment screen. Then, I talked to a technical director about soft skills. Next, two principal engineers asked me general programming and software engineering questions. After that, two more principal engineers asked about discipline-specific topics. Finally, I had a chat with a more global technical director, again focusing on soft skills. They offered me the job after this sixth step.

So, the hiring process here is pretty straightforward, it's got three parts. First, you'll chat with HR to see if you're a good fit for the company vibe and the specific job. Then, there's a technical interview where they'll check out your skills and what you know. Lastly, we've got a behavioral interview to get a feel for how you handle different situations, how you work with others, and if you're on the same page with our company values and what we're aiming for.

My interview experience at EA Sports was really great. The hiring process had three interviews: first, a quick 15-minute screening with a recruiter. Then, a 45-minute chat with the hiring manager. Lastly, a panel interview scheduled for an hour, but it ended up being just one person because the other panellist was unavailable. Everyone I spoke with was super informative about the role and company, and had such a positive vibe. It was also awesome to see so many women in tech in leadership roles.
