First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
Marketing Coordinator
The interview process involved two rounds. The questions were pretty basic, but the office space was really nice. Each interview didn't last more than 45 minutes. Overall, it felt like a standard interview for me.
- Can you describe your current position?
- Could you walk me through your previous roles?
Copywriter and Editor
Had two interviews and a writing test. I met the Creative Director and VP of Creative in person. It was cordial and they followed up quickly. The whole experience was pretty straightforward and smooth. The copy test was clear and to the point.
- In what ways are your skills transferable?
Marketing Assistant
The whole thing took about 2 weeks. First, I spoke with the manager, and then with the Brokers. We had 3 Zoom calls in total, all within those two weeks. I also had to do a task within two days: make a brochure and an online post for LinkedIn that matched the brand's voice.
- In a fast-paced real estate environment, how do you manage overlapping deadlines, such as coordinating an open house, creating marketing materials, and handling digital content simultaneously? Please detail your approach using the examples of an open house, a brochure, a client tour, and an online post.
Administration
We first had a call to set up a meeting, during which I learned about their background and what they know about the market. I asked about their services, how they plan to help, and what they charge, to make sure their plan works for my goals. I also checked out how they communicate and what they have done before to see if we would work well together.
- What was your reason for choosing real estate?
