First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
Administrative Assistant
I applied, and they sent me some questions via email. We had a phone call, and then I went in for a more formal interview at their office. A few days later, they let me know I got the job.
- Do you possess a real estate license?
Administration
We first had a call to set up a meeting, during which I learned about their background and what they know about the market. I asked about their services, how they plan to help, and what they charge, to make sure their plan works for my goals. I also checked out how they communicate and what they have done before to see if we would work well together.
- What was your reason for choosing real estate?
Executive Assistant
It was pretty easy to get the interview. I applied on indeed and one of their recruiters had me take a personality assessment. After that, they sent me a Zoom link. When I joined the Zoom, the assistant to the agent was there instead of the agent, and he was texting during the interview. He repeated the same questions multiple times and seemed really uninterested. The agent eventually joined, but she made the assistant leave. I didn't feel like I had a shot at this one.
- What makes you want to work in real estate?
- Can you come into the office?
- What are your best qualities?
