Account Management Manager
After applying online, a DoubleDutch recruiter reached out within three days to schedule an initial call. The recruiter was on time for our scheduled chat. Honestly, they weren't the most approachable for a first conversation with a potential employer. The call was short, under 15 minutes, and felt like a rapid screen with a rapid-fire sequence of questions. It was hard to tell if my answers were hitting the mark, as there was minimal feedback. The recruiter mentioned they'd follow up by the end of the week with next steps, but I didn't hear back until the following week, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, my first impression of DoubleDutch wasn't great; it felt more like a government office than an exciting startup aiming to disrupt the event software market. There wasn't really a chance to ask my own questions; it was mostly a 'we'll be in touch' situation. After being informed they wouldn't be proceeding with my candidacy, I thanked them and asked if they could answer a follow-up question, but never received a response.

Sales Development Representative
I spoke with the lead sales development rep, who was really enthusiastic and easy to talk to. He asked me about my past work experience, what I achieved with my previous company, and my top two proudest accomplishments, whether from work or personal life. I thought it went really well. Since I've been interviewing a lot, I asked him directly what he thought about me as a candidate, if I'd be a good fit, and if I had the skills for the role. That's when I really respected the company. He mentioned they don't usually hire recent grads but would check with others. Less than 20 minutes after our chat, the recruiter emailed saying I wouldn't move to the next round. I wasn't upset because he was upfront about it, and honestly, I kind of expected it. This company is growing fast and has a great product, so anyone getting an offer should totally take it. I really appreciate how quickly they responded and gave me feedback on how to improve my answers for future interviews.

Sales Operations
I was really impressed with the interview process at DoubleDutch. Right from applying, I could tell they were serious about hiring and finding the right people. This made me feel good about a company that values its employees. The interview had a few different parts, but after each one, if I did well, they'd quickly schedule the next round. There were a couple of assignments that were tough, but they definitely helped prepare me for the discussions that came later.
- As this is a sales-focused position, can you share your ideas on how we can best identify our target prospects?
- What tools do you suggest we use to help us reach our sales goals faster?
Software Engineer
It was a low stress, quick, and painless process. I got to interview with different sets of people, from executives to team members and people from other teams. The recruiter was helpful in clearly laying out who the interviewers were and what to expect in each interview. There were two interviewers per interview, and the last stage was a skype interview with the CEO. It was clear they took efforts to make the process a good experience for candidates.
- A basic question about data structures was asked.
- Several questions about cultural fit were asked.
