This chat is super chill and relaxed. No need to prep for anything. No tough questions will be thrown at you. It's mostly about who you are as a person. Think of it as a simple meet-and-greet, where you can naturally chat about what you enjoy, what you're looking for in a work vibe, and what appeals to you about the company. You don't need to memorize your resume or tackle complicated motivation questions. Expect short, easy questions like what you like to do, what you value in a team, and what you already know about the company. Everything is low-key and designed to see if there's a quick connection. Just be yourself and answer honestly without any pressure. It's a way for you to get to know the company and for them to get to know you, in a nice, informal way.
- Can you describe yourself and how you handle pressure?
Executive Sous Chef
The interview process was really disorganized. They never followed up when they said they would. They were always running late for scheduled interviews. When I got to the final stage and was expecting an outcome, I had to chase them up again, only to be told they weren't hiring for the position anymore. It's poor form to treat people like that.
- There were some very generic questions asked.
- An unusual task involved completing a trial rostering assignment for the kitchen.
Accounts Payable Associate
The interview process with dnata was really straightforward and the recruitment team was super helpful. The folks interviewing me were also very nice and made me feel comfortable. Overall, it was a positive interview experience, even though I didn't get the job in the end.
- What was a difficult situation you encountered in accounts payable and how did you manage it?
- Can you describe a time you had to sort out a complicated issue with financial records?
- How would you deal with a vendor needing an urgent payment when you have to stick to the rules?
Data Scientist
I think this was the only stage. It was my first time using HireVue, and it was kinda hard to see myself while I was recording my answers. The Digital interview assessment had: - 3 practice questions (you had 2 mins for each answer and 1 min to think before) - 4 questions (also 2 mins for each answer and 1 min to think beforehand). You could re-record your answers one time after the first try if you wanted to redo it.
- When looking at a dataset, how would you decide which data visualization technique is best to use?
- How do your skills and experiences make you a good candidate for this role?
- Why would your background and experience be a good fit for this job?
