First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at DJO.
Product Manager
The hiring process moved quickly at first. I applied, got a call the next day, and was invited for an on-site interview on the third day. During the on-site, I met the team. The engineering managers seemed arrogant and asked questions poorly; one engineer asked about finding the right channels but phrased it as if asking about regulations. The office environment looked depressing with many cubicles. They mentioned they'd contact me within a few weeks. HR has been silent since the on-site, and it's been three months with no response.
- Has HR informed you about the salary for this position?
Planning Manager
The interview process started with a phone screen with HR. She gave a great company overview, and was very friendly & easy to interact with. After this, I had 2 rounds of face to face interviews. For the scheduling of these the company expected you to drop what you were doing and be available immediately which is rarely realistic when you are currently employed. Each time I came to office I interviewed with multiple people. Some people were great, and others were not because they were late for their time slot, had not even read my resume/didn't have a copy of it, etc. I find that to be disrespectful and a waste of both of our time.
- Can you describe how you developed new metrics in a prior role?
Records Operations Assistant
My temp interview process was good. I spoke about myself and they asked me a few things. The whole hiring process for me took only 1 week. They checked all my details and my resume, and after a week I got the offer call. After working there for 3.5 months, they offered me a full-time role. I took it and worked in that department. 5 months later, I applied for another position and interviewed again. This next interview was a bit different. I interviewed with someone who had never interviewed anyone before and I don't think she knew what she was doing.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
Product Training Consultant
First, there was a call to go over my CV. Then, I had a F2F interview with the general manager, which was pretty informal and focused more on general stuff, the job description, and what they expect. About a month after that, I had another F2F interview with the Director manager. A week after that, I got a formal proposal, and then 5 weeks later, I got confirmation of my start date.
