HR Program Manager
The recruiter contacted me about a month after I applied to set up an interview. They were open about being in the role for only two weeks and couldn't provide much info about the job or company. He mentioned I seemed like a good fit and that the hiring manager had already reviewed my resume and wanted to talk to me. After that, I heard nothing back – completely ghosted. Not even an automated email. It was incredibly unprofessional and probably shows what the culture is like.
- Can you share your experience with me?
Technical Operations Engineer
The interview process started with a recruiter call, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. Then there was a session with a potential senior colleague, and finally a last interview. The recruiter wasn't very clear about the steps in the first call. There were several mistakes during the process, like sending the wrong call link twice on different days. No constructive feedback was given, and the whole thing felt very disorganized. They should have more empathy for candidates and kindly consider the time candidates spent in the interviews.
- How would you handle an error that a customer reports to you?
Sales Director
Got a message from a recruiter in the UK office about a Sales Director role, even though I'm in the US. The first chat was a pretty standard phone screen, but it was super early for me. Things got weird when another recruiter from the US team got in touch, totally unaware I was already in talks with his UK counterpart. He was pretty useless, never prepped me and was hard to get a hold of. He kept saying I was getting great feedback after multiple panel interviews and that an offer was close. After navigating the confusing recruiting team, I had five Zoom interviews with different Team Leads and execs, all of which went really well. I followed up a bunch, but then they just ghosted me. Really unprofessional and honestly, the whole vibe was off.
- Can you tell me about the most challenging deal you've ever closed?
QA Automation Engineer
The recruiter reached out to schedule a take-home exam, which was straightforward, testing basic coding skills and an automated testing question that allowed for good explanation. The next step was an onsite interview with the team lead, who was friendly and organized. The discussion covered my past experience, the role's expectations, and my exam answers. Following that, there was a technical-behavioral onsite with the manager. He was also approachable and posed a manageable coding question, which we then discussed. Lastly, I had an HR onsite interview. Despite the positive interactions, I felt I didn't perform well in this final stage, leading to rejection. Overall, it was a positive experience with a great company, a quick process, and excellent communication.
