It was a hurdle approach starting with assessments then 5 rounds of interviews. The assessments were a personality test, cognitive ability, and a leadership assessment. The interviews included the screening, meeting with hiring manager, and then a couple interviews with team members I would be working with closely, ending with an interview with the CEO.

Behavioral Coding

The interview process was thorough and professional. It started with a phone screen where they asked me about my background and experience. Then there was a technical assessment with a coding problem to solve. The whole process was well-structured and the recruiter was responsive. I didn't get an offer, but it was a positive experience and I got to show my skills.

Behavioral Group

I applied and had a phone screen, then an interview, and was supposed to have a group activity. This was for the Australian office. The interviewer was really hostile, combative, and dismissive. I feel like their leadership products are really outdated and not as good as the Big 4. DDI knows they're a sinking ship but don't seem to care. I'd be wary of their 5-star Glassdoor ratings and suggest doing your own research.

The recruiter was really good at communicating, and generally everyone I talked to was nice and gave good info. The interview process felt a bit too long though, with lots of interview rounds, personality tests, a critical thinking test, and then a simulation interview where I had to lead a meeting with 5-7 people for an implementation. I spent a lot of time prepping and got good feedback after my presentation, so it was a bummer to get rejected a week later. Overall, people were nice and I appreciated the time, but it was a disappointing and kind of tough process.
