Deposco Interview Questions
& Process

Had multiple rounds with a technical assessment. The rounds seemed relevant and informative. Met with direct team members, stakeholders and leadership. It was a good process for them to understand how I would approach the role and for me to understand how I would fit in the company.

Had a technical video interview first, then an in-person interview at their office. The in-person interview had 3 people: the CTO, a Chief Architect, and a Principal Software Engineer. The technical interview focused on Java, Spring, and Databases. The in-person interview was a joke, they didn't seem serious about hiring. They asked maybe 2 questions and seemed to want me to get stuck to make me feel incompetent. Their behavior was unprofessional, laughing behind me while I was writing on the whiteboard. I suspect they have a toxic work environment. One interviewer was too scared to ask questions in front of the CTO and Chief Architect.

It started with a recruiter call and then a phone screen. After that, I went for an in-person interview at their office in Alpharetta, GA, which is pretty far from Atlanta if you're worried about the commute. I was expecting multiple interviewers but it was just one person. The interview felt more like a casual conversation about my career path, and I was waiting for some standard qualification questions, but they never really came up. I'm not sure why we didn't get to discussing my SQL skills, but I guess something about my profile didn't fit. The vibe shifted when we started talking about consulting. Honestly, I was a bit taken aback by how selective they were, given other opportunities out there. Maybe I was too confident? You'd really only want this job if you live close to the Alpharetta office because they don't seem to offer much remote work, maybe once a week. I was told I'd need to wait for a second round, but then the recruiters let me know Deposco wasn't moving forward with my application.

I got an email from the Director of Talent Acquisition. We set up our first call and after one week we had a second phone call. The third week I had an in-person interview and after I was done he stated he would like me to come in and meet HR. Two days after my interview I emailed the Director asking him which day he wanted me to go in the office, he responded stating he would connect with me the following week and two weeks later he wanted me to meet other employees from the company. Three weeks passed and I emailed him back wanting to know where I stand in the process. After three emails he finally responded that he had proceeded with someone else. He had me waiting for over one month and never gave me correct answers. I find it very unprofessional that after having two phone calls and in-person interview the Director gives false answers during the interview process. I would think twice when interviewing with Deposco.
