It started with a recruiter call and then a phone screen. After that, I went for an in-person interview at their office in Alpharetta, GA, which is pretty far from Atlanta if you're worried about the commute. I was expecting multiple interviewers but it was just one person. The interview felt more like a casual conversation about my career path, and I was waiting for some standard qualification questions, but they never really came up. I'm not sure why we didn't get to discussing my SQL skills, but I guess something about my profile didn't fit. The vibe shifted when we started talking about consulting. Honestly, I was a bit taken aback by how selective they were, given other opportunities out there. Maybe I was too confident? You'd really only want this job if you live close to the Alpharetta office because they don't seem to offer much remote work, maybe once a week. I was told I'd need to wait for a second round, but then the recruiters let me know Deposco wasn't moving forward with my application.

I kicked things off with a phone interview. Then, about a month later, I had an on-site where I met the team lead and a manager I would be reporting to. They asked me some technical questions, and we mostly just chatted about the role and the company. After that, I spoke with the CEO on the phone, also about a month later. It's been another month since that call, and I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm really hoping for an offer or at least an update soon, though HR has been pretty slow to respond overall. I don't think they'd ghost me after talking to the CEO, but you never know.

It took a while and they checked everything but it went well, and I got the job. The whole experience was good. If the recruiter is slow to respond, just follow up, they’ll get back to you and you’ll end up getting the job.
