First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deluxe Corporation.
Senior QA Automation Engineer
It started with a 30-min phone chat with a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist, covering my background, experience, and if I was a good fit. Then, I spoke with the hiring manager. He wanted to know about my past projects and real-time experience, including how many I'd handled and how I managed them. The last round was a panel with six team members. It was mainly technical. They sent over a simulation task beforehand that I had to do. In the interview, they had me explain the code I wrote, and they asked me about my tech skills, QA processes, and some behavioral stuff to see how I work with others and solve problems.
- Which selenium wait commands have you utilized?
Technical Analyst
Deluxe has a really smooth and fast interview process that made me feel good and supported. I had one in-depth and interesting round with the hiring manager who explained the job, the team, and the company culture. It was more of a good chat than a stressful interview, which was great. Overall, it was a professional and friendly experience that gave me a good impression of the company.
- Could you describe your background and how you approach support?
EAS Specialist
Had a 30min call with the recruiter. This company lacks transparency, the pay was listed as $23/hr but then told it was $19/hr, plus a rotating schedule and on-call duties twice a month. The recruiter was nice but awkward and didn't know the job's needs, making me wonder why they even called.
- Can you tell me about your years of experience with Linux?
Inside Sales Representative
It went pretty fast. I had a phone chat with the recruiter first. Then I chatted with HR not long after. It really didn't feel like an interview. She asked some typical questions like, "What is a moment in your career where you had to deal with a difficult situation and how did you handle it?" But mostly we just chatted. It was super chill and even though it was my first interview in ages, it wasn't nearly as scary as I remember.
- Can you explain what excellent customer service is?
- Can you remember a time when you had to deal with a difficult situation? How did you handle it?
