So the interview process was great until it wasn't. I had a recruiter call within a week of applying. Then, within the next week and a half, I interviewed with both the director and the VP. They both gave me the green light. I followed up with the recruiter three times and the director once, but never heard back about the job. I guess I didn't get it, but it's pretty ridiculous that I couldn't even get a reply like 'we're moving on with other candidates' after reaching out so many times.

I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but companies ghosting candidates is something that needs to change. I'd expect a well-known company to at least have the decency to let all applicants know where they stand. Saying it's to avoid legal issues is just an excuse; there's no legal problem with a simple "we're not moving forward with your application at this time, thank you" response. And claiming they're too busy is also not a good enough reason. It points to either a problem with their people or their processes, and this kind of neglect really shows what the company culture is like. The process involved an initial phone screen and then a direct conversation with the hiring manager.

The interview process began well with great recruiter communication. After the interviews concluded, communication ceased. Despite a couple of follow-ups, responses were slow, unclear, and without action, ultimately leading to being ghosted. The candidate emphasized the emotional toll job hunting takes and stated that receiving no closure after 5-6 interviews is unacceptable and unprofessional, questioning their desire to work for a company that treats people this way.

They have a good structured interview process with questions relevant to the work and not the difficult leetcode problems. The rounds were: 1. Assignment round with basic coding around an API. Once this is cleared, there is a hiring manager round to see if both candidate and the job are a good fit for each other. 2. Coding round with questions around maps and hashmaps. 3. Multithreading round with in-depth questions around volatile, synchronized variables. 4. HLL round. 5. Managerial round with someone from the US. I cleared all the rounds and was notified that I'll be getting an offer soon. Next day they shared the salary numbers as well. I just said give me 10 mins I'll think about it and confirm. And on this, they scheduled an HR round again and then stopped responding. I called for a week to get the response: we are having a hiring freeze effective immediately.
