I had an introductory call with the internal recruiter. It was straightforward, just getting to know my experience and an opportunity to ask questions about the role. The screening call took place before Christmas, and I was informed I would hear back after the Christmas break. I followed up on January 5th and was told that as it was the first few days back, they were in the process of reviewing all applicants and would update me ASAP. I emailed again on January 16th for an update, and never received a reply. Really disappointing from the company and internal recruiter that despite a positive introduction call, they decided to just completely ghost me. Sadly reflective of the job market these days.

This was a pretty straightforward interview process, one of the easiest I've been through. They mostly just looked at my CV and didn't ask any technical questions. The whole thing wrapped up in under a week, with two interviews total. In the end, we couldn't reach an agreement on salary because their offer was lower than I was looking for.

Got an email from the recruiter about a week after applying for a phone screening. Since I'm in San Francisco, a high cost of living area, the recruiter said during the phone screen that they'd give me the salary range within a week. I had to email them to follow up, and it took them 3 weeks to give me the salary range. I had to follow up again about the next steps, and it always took them over 3 weeks to reply. I heard from a friend at Deckers that they were pretty far along with another candidate, so I asked the recruiter if we could look at other roles if this one was filled. Once the recruiter found out I knew someone at Deckers, they apologized in an email for the slow response. Feedback: Please treat candidates with respect and timely updates. Deckers is a global company, please act like one.

I applied in late August and a recruiter reached out in October. We had a phone screen, and I was told about meeting a hiring manager if I progressed. They were aiming to fill the role by the new year. I interviewed with the hiring manager in December and was informed that the next round, if I advanced, would be in early January. I didn't hear back, so I followed up with no response. This was okay for me since I'm currently employed and content. I did finally get an automated follow-up on the last day of March stating they are moving on with other candidates. This was a workday email, not from the actual recruiter. I'm sharing because I know people are job hunting and if I were unemployed, this would have been a really annoying process.
