First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Deckers Brands.
Customer Service Representative
Had a phone interview, which was really nice and fun. Then, I had a face-to-face interview, which was also really nice and fun. After that, I just had to pop in for an informal chat with the new manager and head of HR, which was really nice and fun too. And then... nothing. Absolutely nothing. Emails and phone calls are going unanswered. I understand for applicants maybe for a first interview, but it's awful to come in for multiple interviews, thinking you're the only candidate, and then be left hanging for months. I've emailed and called and still don't even know for sure if I didn't get the job because nobody gave me a straight answer or any information. It's disgraceful and shows a massive lack of professionalism and decency. I'm not disputing they're busy, but a simple yes/no would've been enough. Wouldn't recommend! Such a shame because they seemed so lovely.

Customer Service Representative
I had an interview set up by an agency, and I went to Deckers for it. First, I met with a really nice HR lady who was super open and relaxed, which made me feel comfortable. Then, two other people came in. One lady didn't ask much and didn't seem that interested, but the other person, a guy, seemed really focused on results and honestly gave me the creeps. Companies should try to be approachable and relaxed to show they're a nice place to work, not just expect candidates to prove themselves. People want a fun, relaxed environment. I recall a colleague who applied for the same job a couple of months before me also got rejected and had to wait ages for an answer, left in the dark. It's a shame because if you've done the job before, you're probably a good fit, but they seem to be looking for perfect candidates. Good luck.

Customer Service Representative
It was a quick and easy interview, not at all stressful. The interviewers were really nice and didn't make me feel uneasy. They mostly wanted to see who I am, if I'd fit in at Deckers, and if I live by Deckers values. Of course, they're also looking for people who are smart, curious, and capable.
