the receptionist acted as HR and asked some questions, but didn't know much about the technical or legal parts of the job. Most questions were about general work conduct and hypothetical situations, but some were specific, like asking if I've done this job before, as employers often do. After the interview, I was told that the HR person would upload the answers to Corporate and they'd get in touch the same way they scheduled the interview.

The hiring managers asked some standard interview questions. They challenged me to come up with a creative single use packaging design and put together a presentation to present to the Marketing team. It was a pretty straightforward process.

Following up on my previous post, I interviewed for this role and was told I wasn't the right 'fit'. I later discovered that the third-party recruiter provided me with incorrect information about the compensation package. I was under the impression there would be a separate salary, a bonus opportunity, and an auto package. However, after speaking with the DART HR representative, it turned out the auto package was actually included as part of the 'salary' and not in addition to it. If I had known this upfront, I wouldn't have wasted my time or theirs going through the initial process. It seems the recruiter was just trying to hit their 'quota'. Interestingly, I'm still receiving emails indicating the position is open. From what I can tell, the role has been 'open' for about a year now. This makes me wonder if they genuinely want to fill the position or if the job details are misleading, preventing them from attracting candidates. More transparency and accurate information from the recruiter would definitely be advisable.

Even though this was an intern position, they really drilled down on my long term goals and plans, making it seem like they were looking for someone to stick around. The HR person took a while to get back to me to set up the interview, but I appreciated that they gave me the option for either in-person or video, and I chose to go in person. I applied in September, got the call for an interview in January, and finally heard back about whether I got the job in early March. The interviewer themselves was pretty monotone and not very engaging.
