I had some general questions asked by the hiring team, but they didn't really get a good sense of my background from them. It seemed to go okay, but then I heard nothing back, not even a rejection. I reached out to the recruiter, but they kind of brushed me off. The place felt like it was mostly run by people who had just graduated.

I had a quick phone chat, then met in person with the division President for NM. The interview wasn't really structured, and it seemed like they didn't have much experience interviewing people. Things seemed to go okay during the conversation, but I never heard back. I followed up twice, but still no response. It would be professional if they at least let candidates know they weren't selected after an in-person interview, maybe with a little feedback, since we put time into preparing and attending. But they didn't respond or notify me at all.

The interview was really more of a conversation with the Sales Manager. It flowed very well and my prior sales experience in real estate really helped. They really were looking for someone who understood the expectations of working in new construction (less flexible schedule to traditional real estate and splitting commission for cross sales in communities you are not typically based out of)

The interviewer cancelled my first Zoom meeting on a Friday. The contracting firm had to contact D.R. and reschedule for the following Monday. On Monday, the 2pm CST Zoom meeting finally happened. I met the hiring manager, and I could see disgust on his face when he saw me. He asked about 3 questions, and I answered them based on my IT work experience, thinking I answered according to IT standards and procedures. I asked him the basics of every IT position I've worked in over the last 12 years. He ended the meeting after 25 minutes. My follow-up call didn't come until the following Wednesday. The contract firm stated the manager said I didn't look like a fit and didn't act interested. I don't understand how he reached that conclusion, especially since he cancelled the previous Friday's meeting without warning to the firm I was referred from. It lacked professionalism and felt bigoted or racist.
