The first step is a phone screen where you'll need to name five brands. The second interview is in person at the store. They'll ask about you, your previous work history, and your motivation for joining them. You'll also have to do a buy test. The third interview is with the district manager, and it's similar to the second one, focusing on how you'd manage specific scenarios based on your past interactions with people or customers.

The interview was unfortunately a waste of time for both parties because nowhere in the job posting does it say you can't resell clothes yourself in person or online. Nor was I told this before the interview. Had I known this, I wouldn't have gone through the trouble of applying, traveling there, having the interview (which was an hour and a half), and traveling back. Also, Crossroads Trading offered me a role that was less hourly pay than what was promised in the job posting. Overall, the interview made me not want to work there. It does not seem like a great place for some in the neurodivergent community.

This was a normal interview for a Sales Associate role. They asked questions about retail situations and how I handle challenging scenarios like stress and negative customer interactions. They also wanted to know if I keep up with current trends and have opinions on them.

I applied and about two weeks later I had an interview. I prepped by checking out reviews. The interview took about 45 minutes. I was asked common retail questions, and also personal ones about my availability and why I'd be a good fit. Then I had a 'buy test' where I had to sort through clothes to pick what to keep and what to pass on. The manager left the room for this part. When they came back, I showed them which ones I'd keep and priced them. After that, they seemed really eager to wrap things up. No handshake or anything. I thought the first part went really well. They said they'd decide in a week, but I still haven't heard back. I'm pretty bummed as I thought I had a good shot, especially knowing staff and feeling the manager was interested. But it didn't work out.
