Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Crossroads Trading.
Buyer
There was a phone screen first, and then an in-person interview if the phone screen went well. The phone screen was mostly about availability and logistics, and the in-person interview was more like a traditional interview. Everyone was friendly and kind, which made me feel at ease.
- Which brands or labels do you favor?
Buyer
The first step is a phone screen where you'll need to name five brands. The second interview is in person at the store. They'll ask about you, your previous work history, and your motivation for joining them. You'll also have to do a buy test. The third interview is with the district manager, and it's similar to the second one, focusing on how you'd manage specific scenarios based on your past interactions with people or customers.
- Can you list five brands you're familiar with?
Buyer
The interview starts with a quick phone chat to check your brand knowledge and explain the job duties. If they like you, you'll then meet with the general manager for questions about the job and personal stuff, basically to see if you're a good fit. You'll also have to do a real buying test. A few days later, the district manager will want to talk to you, and it's pretty much the same questions as before. Usually, they'll offer you the job the day after that.
- Can you list five clothing brands you are familiar with?
- Could you share an instance where your personal values were challenged?
- What is your knowledge of clothing brands?
