First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CPA Global.
Associate Consultant
So first, I had a phone call where they asked me about the major project I was working on since I was in my final year. Then, they called me to their office for what felt like a mass recruitment drive. Once there, the initial stage involved technical questions specific to my engineering branch. After that, there was another technical interview. Finally, I had an HR interview with standard HR questions. The whole process spanned the entire day, and the results were announced within a week.
- Could you describe your current or major project?
- What technical questions did they ask related to your specific branch of study?
- Were there any other technical questions?
Senior QA Engineer
Had a bad interview experience. I traveled all the way from Gurgaon to Noida for the interview, only to be told they couldn't match my expected package. After a heated discussion, the HR agreed to the package, but the rest of the interview felt like a formality. Instead of asking QA-related questions, they asked development questions and then rejected me. It was a complete waste of my time and very unprofessional behavior from the HR. They seem unwilling to pay market rates, and I'd advise against interviewing here, as they'll push hard on the package even if you're selected.
- What is lambda?
- Can you write a program for this?
- Can you provide a more optimized solution for the program you wrote?
Software Engineer
I was contacted by a consultancy agency about two days before the interview for a .NET MVC role in Noida. There were three screening rounds. First, I was given a paper with two topics, either Restaurant Management or Air Ticket Booking, and asked to draw the ER and class diagrams for one. Then, there was an in-person interview for over an hour covering all .NET framework technologies, including basic Jquery and JavaScript knowledge. The final round was with their AVP, which I found to be a very silly and unpleasant experience. Finally, they asked about my availability to join. I did not accept the offer because the package was not good.
- Regarding MVC, what is an area and how do you register it?
- In MVC, where is the appropriate place to write business logic?
- If a partial view contains a form and is used within another view, how can that form be refreshed when the parent view is executed?
IP Analyst
The interview process had four stages. First, there was an HR round with general questions about my CV and my motivation for the role. Then, I met the team I'd be working with for a written IQ and field knowledge test, followed by an interview with a team leader. The third stage involved a practical demonstration of the company's software and then a task to complete using it. Finally, I had a meeting with the HR partner for more general, non-technical questions. They mentioned a potential start date informally, but after the fourth stage, they used a standard closing line and I never heard back.
- CV-based questions were asked, along with 'why this field/job'.
- Technical questions related to IPR were posed and GK awareness was checked.
- A practical problem was given to solve after a demonstration.
