Applied online and was contacted by HR about 2 weeks later for a phone interview where they asked basic questions about my work history and availability. The recruiter then scheduled me for a test the next day, which I passed, along with typing tests. I was then scheduled for an in-person interview the following week. I interviewed with two supervisors, though I was expecting three. One of the supervisors told me that usually, if you get a 'yes' from two supervisors, the third interview isn't necessary. She pretty much indicated I was getting the job and told me and another candidate we'd hear from HR about the compensation and start date. It's been a week since the in-person interview and I haven't heard back from HR yet, so I'm hopeful. The training class is supposed to start on 7/29, so I'm really hoping to hear from HR by the end of next week.

After applying on the company website, HR will call to schedule an interview if you're a good match. For some entry-level jobs, you might need to take a test first (like data entry or customer service), which will be in the job description. Then, you'll interview with HR and the department manager or supervisor on the same day. During the interview, they'll explain more about the role and their expectations. They're looking for STAR answers (Situation/Task/Action/Results), and you'll be rated lower if you don't provide a full STAR response. Questions vary by job, but are usually 'tell me a time' or 'what would you do' types. While STAR answers are key, supervisors and managers are mainly trying to see if you're a good fit for the job. If you have the experience, a positive and friendly attitude goes a long way.

After applying online, I got a call from HR after 2 weeks. The process started with an HR interview for 30 mins. She then asked me to fill out an online questionnaire with a bunch of behavioral questions. The third step was an interview with the technical team, most questions were about why specific tech was used in the current project, architecture, some design patterns, and some about production deployment, clustering, session replication, etc. The fourth step was an interview with the hiring manager, mostly behavioral questions again, or like 'what's the biggest technical issue you've solved'. Finally, I got an offer from HR.

So I applied online and then a few weeks later, I got an email from the VP of underwriting who wanted to do a phone interview. It was about 30 minutes and they asked about my past jobs and why I wanted to be an underwriter. A lot of the time, like 90%, was just them telling me what the job would be like and what was expected. After that, I had to do an Excel test, like with formulas and stuff. Then, the last step was an onsite interview. It was two parts, each 45 minutes. First, I met with one underwriter and the VP, and then with two other underwriters. They asked me the same kinds of questions about fitting in and my behavior, both times.
