IT Project Manager
The whole interview process took about 2 months from the first contact to the in-person interview. It started with a phone screen where they asked general questions but gave good insights into the team setup and the specific needs for the role. The HR person was great, staying in touch throughout. The final interview was scheduled unusually late, at 5 PM. Unfortunately, only one of the three interviewers I was supposed to meet showed up. This person, along with the initial phone screener, asked a series of questions. Some were a bit odd, like questioning my previous role as a salesman when I'm a senior project manager, and making a comment about my "long Christmas break" after I mentioned leaving my last job in November. It felt like they already had someone else in mind and were just going through the motions.
- Regarding budget management, were you responsible for hours or monetary amounts?
Project Manager
I had four phone interviews. I talked to the hiring manager, a director, a coworker, and HR did a screening. Each one was about 30 minutes to an hour. They had some standard questions but then asked for specific examples from my experience. They also do a credit check and background check.
- Can you share an example of something you implemented that benefited the company or your team?
Project Manager
The interview process was quite fast, involving two phone calls, a face-to-face meeting, and one tele-presence interview. The people in Downers Grove seemed really nice.
