Behavioral Technical Presentation

The overall interview experience was okay, but it felt a bit messy and not super organized. The interview structure seemed a little unclear at times, and the questions didn’t always connect well. Some questions also didn’t seem to relate directly to the job description or what the role actually involves, making it tough to figure out what they were looking for. If the questions were more aligned with the job, it would have felt more focused and productive.

I applied for the host job and after an aptitude test, I got texts from what seemed like an AI. It asked about my availability for training starting Dec 30th. I said yes but mentioned a trip in January. The bot said it would note my availability. Then I got an in-person interview. They told me I couldn't do the host job because I lacked experience with their software, even though the bot previously said my job history was helpful. They then offered me a busser/food runner role, which I said 'Possibly' to, as it wasn't my first choice. The interviewer then noticed my future trips and asked if I'd be out of town on certain dates. After I confirmed, she said those dates were part of mandatory training and I could reapply in 60-90 days when they reopened. The whole thing felt like a waste of my time and gas.

It was two short interviews and they hired me right away because they were hiring a lot of people for a new location. Before you go, it's a good idea to talk about your experience and look into the wine club and some of the perks. They'll want to know if you're familiar with it. I wasn't, but the GM was nice enough to tell me about it.

  • Have you worked as a server before?
  • Are you aware of the wine club?
