Customer Care Representative
This interview process looks at your basic qualifications, work history, communication skills, salary expectations, and availability. It usually takes about 15 to 30 minutes and is done by the hiring manager, sometimes with other team members. They'll ask more detailed questions about technical or role-specific skills, behavioral questions like 'Tell me about a time when...', and problem-solving or scenario-based questions. There might also be practical tasks or technical tests.

Operations Manager
This company hires anyone who is alive. You'll realize you're working 12-15 hour days for less than a cashier makes because they force you to stay 2-3 hours after closing to clean the store, acting as a janitor on sales commission with no sales to make. All commissioned sales staff must stay until everyone else leaves, including management. So, for 2.5-4 hours of your 13-hour shift, you can't earn commission but are forced to stay and clean the store like a janitor, including toilets, trash, sweeping, mopping, and changing product tags. This company violates labor laws, showing how little Texas values its people.

Paid Search Manager
Stephanie, the recruiter, contacted me on LinkedIn about the Sr. Paid Search Manager role. I wasn't actively searching but this seemed like a good fit. Before proceeding, I asked about the pay range and it was acceptable. The process included: 1. Recruiter Screening (30 min), 2. Interview with Digital Marketing Director (30 min), and 3. A full day of 6 interviews (approx. 3 hours) at their Houston HQ. Two weeks after the interviews, I got the offer, but it was 15k less than what we initially discussed and also less than my current pay. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I wouldn't have invested the time if I knew the actual offer. It would have saved everyone time. I declined the offer and am still waiting for my travel expenses to be reimbursed. The Conn's digital marketing team seems exciting with all the growth and changes, so the outcome of this process was really disappointing.
- How comfortable are you with managing Paid Search campaigns?
