First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Conn's.
Sales Associate
They reached out for an interview. When I got there, I had to wait a bit for the manager. We sat down, and it was easy talking to him. The only hiccup was when I mentioned I couldn't work Sundays, which he said was against company policy. He seemed to be waiting for me to reconsider... then we did a sales role play. He thought I did well and wanted to offer me the job, but the Sunday thing was still an issue. There was some awkward silence, like he was still hoping I'd change my mind, lol. Anyway, I kept looking elsewhere.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
Sales Associate
So the interview process is pretty typical, we'll chat about your work history and get to know you a bit. Then, we'll do a roleplay where you try to sell a product. The main thing is to not give up, and if you can make the sale even if the customer seems like they're walking away, you'll probably do well here.
- What sales experience do you have?
- Can you share your previous work history?
- Tell me some things about yourself.
Sales Associate
I found the job on Indeed and applied online. The Store Manager called me first. Then I interviewed with the Assistant Store Manager, and then the Store Manager. The Store Manager rescheduled my interview for a different day. They gave me a tour of the store. After they decided to hire me, they started the background check.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What motivates you?
- What's the amount of money you need to be happy?
