Order Management Associate
The interview process for this Order Management Associate role was slated to have 4 interviews, which felt like a lot for a CSR-type job. It was supposed to include an initial screening, a manager interview, a peer interview, and a final interview with the COO. After the initial screening call where the recruiter seemed interested, I was asked to take a 45-minute WONSCORE test, which wasn't disclosed upfront when I asked about the process steps. I thought I did okay on the test, but then there was complete silence after I submitted it. I messaged the recruiter, and she said the hiring team was busy and she'd get back to me. The following week, I got an automated rejection email. I asked for more feedback, specifically about the WONSCORE test, since the recruiter had seemed interested in moving me forward. However, instead of providing context, she and another associate just ghosted me, which felt unprofessional given the time I invested. I'm fine with not moving forward if my test results weren't good, especially since the test wasn't disclosed initially, but being ignored when asking for basic feedback is disrespectful. It would be better if they showed more respect and didn't ghost applicants asking for constructive feedback, and also simplified the interview process for CSR roles, as 4 interviews plus an undisclosed test is excessive compared to industry standards.

Applications Engineer
I got referred by someone who works there. The whole process took over two months because of the holidays. Once things got back to normal business hours, I had my interviews at Computer Aided Technology in Buffalo Grove, IL, in the middle to late part of January, and then I started at the beginning of February. Even though it took a while, they kept me in the loop about everything and what was coming next. It was a really good experience meeting a lot of the people who work there (my future coworkers) and the management/owners. CATI is a smaller to medium-sized company but has great company culture and benefits. Talking to a bunch of people during the interview process really makes sure you'll be a good fit with the company. (It also makes you really want to join!) I like puzzles and games, so I saw this process as a challenge, but it was worth it. You need to be ready, look polished, and be honest to do well in this tough process. If you end up joining, just know you've found a place to stay for the next 5 to 10 years.
- Can you tell me about your background in additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping?
- What information do you have about CATI?
Business Development Manager
We started with an initial HR/Recruiter phone screen, then had 4 more phone interviews, and finally an in-person interview. Throughout the process, I talked with the hiring manager, VP of Sales, HR Manager, and the President of the CATI, in addition to the initial HR/Recruiter contact.
- Can you walk me through your sales process?
- How do you typically source new business opportunities?
- What's the usual timeframe for closing a new deal?
PLM Consultant
So the interview was pretty thorough. First, there was a phone screening, then four phone interviews, and finally an onsite where I met the team and gave a 15-minute presentation on a technical topic I picked. They seem to want people who will stick around and fit in with the company culture. It was good for me too, to check if it was a good fit and if I could do well and like the job.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to handle a difficult customer or a sensitive issue, and explain how you managed it?
