First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CommuniCare Health Services.
Director of Quality
The interview started with introductions. I felt thankful for the time and chance to interview, especially since I was the former DQRMPI and Chief Equity Officer for JHBH. I gave a brief rundown of the prior facility's recent history, how I ended up with JHBH, highlighting my strong work ethic, vision, and management abilities, which helped JHBH grow and expand continuously. I asked several detailed questions to get a clear understanding of the role's expectations, and they were answered well. I shared useful information about processes, Colorado standards, and Patient Rights, mentioning the importance of having a Patient Advocate and other team members in place. They asked me about my availability and salary expectations. We also discussed timelines for starting operations and ensuring fair pay for the responsibilities involved, and then agreed to follow up.
- Considering I was the past DQRMPI and Chief Equity Officer for JHBH, I shared short details of the previous facility's semi-recent history, how I came to fruition with JHBH, having strong work ethic, vision and multi management skills, enabling JHBH overall continuous growth and expansion. I asked quite a few detailed questions and clarity about the role's overall expectations, which were fairly answered. I provided important and helpful insight regarding processes, Colorado expectations and Patient Rights, as well as having a Patient Advocate and other team members carefully in place.
- I was asked a couple questions about availability and salary expectations.
- We conversed about timelines for start of operations, fair compensation per the amount the position truly entails, followed by a motion to follow up.
Director of Nursing
The interview process was pretty simple. First, you get contacted by their recruiter for a prescreen. Then, you'll usually have a ZOOM interview with your direct manager. After that, you'll meet the regional VP for the department. This is where CommuniCare really drops the ball. They just don't get back to you. This has happened to me three times. Maybe I'm on some 'Do Not Hire' list, or maybe they just don't respect people's time. All three times, I've made it to the third round and then heard absolutely nothing. You don't need to explain why someone didn't get the job after a phone screen or even the first interview, but after three interviews where you prepare and take time off work, you deserve at least an email or text back. If I'm on some secret 'Do Not Hire' list, stop calling me.
- The interview was more conversational than typical interview questions.
Mental Health Technician
This was an informational, professional, and collaborative interview for a Mental Health Technician role at a new facility. Since the facility isn't open to the public yet, there are still some logistics, procedures, and practices to consider. I appreciated Michael's transparency about some procedures still being worked out and his humility in admitting when he didn't know an answer but would follow up. Regarding whether I received an offer, that's not applicable as this was just the screening, and I have moved on to a second interview.
- Do you have any questions for me?
Mental Health Technician
I had a conversation with LaTrice, and it went longer than scheduled because she made sure to set aside extra time to address my questions and concerns about the job. She did a great job explaining the job duties and also told me about other roles at different ClearVista locations. I was really happy with how the interview went and how well LaTrice represented ClearVista.
- Can you tell me about a strength and a weakness you possess?
