Technical Coding Case

The interview process really focused on diving deep into my project experience, checking my knowledge of cloud tech like AWS, Azure, and GCP, and also seeing how good I was with DBMS and SQL. They wanted to make sure I'd be a good fit culturally and really knew my stuff. I was expecting questions about SQL, data modeling, cloud tools, and maybe even a case study or a coding problem.

I went through several rounds of interviews. First, there was a recruiter screening. After that, I interviewed with supervisors and the hiring manager. They really focused on my experience with channel partnerships, sales, and leadership. It felt like a thorough process to make sure I was the right fit.

So, the first thing that happened was a phone screen with the hiring manager. We talked about my background and my experience, and they told me more about the company and the job. We also went over the specific tech skills needed. After that, I went in for an on-site interview at their office. It was pretty thorough, covering lots of network engineering stuff. The manager asked about my experience with LANs, WANs, routing protocols, network security, and other things like that. They also asked about specific tech like Cisco and Juniper routers and switches. All in all, the process felt fair and open. The manager was really clear about what they needed and what they were looking for in a candidate. I also got plenty of chances to ask my own questions and learn more about the company and the role.

I had a really rough time interviewing for a sales position at Comcast Business. After going through several rounds, my last interview was with the hiring manager, Nora Rhodes. We had a Zoom call, and at the end, she offered me the job, seemed really happy about it, and even sent an email saying she was excited to bring me on board. She told me the next steps were the background check and drug test. But then, nothing. After about three or four days with no news, the recruiter finally got in touch late on a Friday evening and just casually mentioned they'd decided to go with someone else at the very last second. It was a bummer, but I moved on. Then, I saw Nora posting about hiring again just two weeks later. Since I'd already been offered the job, I thought I'd be a strong candidate. I reached out, but they said they'd 'circle back' after they interviewed people. Once again, they picked someone else. To go from getting a job offer and a welcome email to being passed over not once, but twice, is just not professional at all. Honestly, this has been the worst candidate experience I've ever had. If this is how they treat people they're trying to hire, I can't even imagine what it's like to actually work there.
