So after you apply, there's like this half hour online assessment thing. Then, if that goes well, there's a 30 minute phone screen. After that, we do an hour long in person interview. Finally, there's a 30 minute panel interview over Teams. This all happens over a few weeks.

I'm sharing my feedback on the interview process because it was a horrendous experience. I arrived 15 minutes early and was told, "Well, you'll have to wait because you're early," in a way that made me uncomfortable. Within 10-15 minutes, Amy said, "I don't think you're a good fit, and you have to remember you're going up against Telco and Verizon people also; Verizon just did a reorganization." She then mentioned Comcast has excellent benefits and encouraged me to keep trying for other positions. She also stated she had interviewed 47 candidates and I needed to match their skills, adding, "Judith is putting anybody in front of us." This made me feel worthless and dehumanized. I understand if my skills don't align, but the way the interview was conducted, the harsh statements, and the tone used were unacceptable. Given my years of managerial experience, I would never treat a candidate with such disrespect. I believe my race and skin played a significant part in how I was treated. Candidates prepare a lot for interviews, and I was met with rudeness and disrespect, which is disheartening from an organization I value. I'm bringing awareness to this experience so it won't happen to other candidates and hope it will be addressed internally. I will continue pursuing opportunities, hoping to be seen for my skills.

I had a really rough time interviewing for a sales position at Comcast Business. After going through several rounds, my last interview was with the hiring manager, Nora Rhodes. We had a Zoom call, and at the end, she offered me the job, seemed really happy about it, and even sent an email saying she was excited to bring me on board. She told me the next steps were the background check and drug test. But then, nothing. After about three or four days with no news, the recruiter finally got in touch late on a Friday evening and just casually mentioned they'd decided to go with someone else at the very last second. It was a bummer, but I moved on. Then, I saw Nora posting about hiring again just two weeks later. Since I'd already been offered the job, I thought I'd be a strong candidate. I reached out, but they said they'd 'circle back' after they interviewed people. Once again, they picked someone else. To go from getting a job offer and a welcome email to being passed over not once, but twice, is just not professional at all. Honestly, this has been the worst candidate experience I've ever had. If this is how they treat people they're trying to hire, I can't even imagine what it's like to actually work there.
