Technical Intern
The hiring process usually has four stages. First, you fill out a registration form. Then, there's an online assessment with general aptitude and CS fundamentals questions. If you pass that, you go to a group discussion to check your communication and problem-solving. Finally, if you're shortlisted, there's a personal interview mostly about your resume, projects, and experience.
- Can you briefly describe your projects?
Senior Category Manager
The process was smooth until the onsite interview, where I faced a panel of four people. In that session, besides explaining my background, I was given a case study with only an hour to prepare a proposal and present it. Personally, it wasn't a comfortable experience: I wasn't given advance notice or enough context, and I was asked to present strategic ideas that could be used as business proposals by the company. After that interview, I didn't receive any follow-up from the local team. I had to contact the global team to request a formal response. That's when they confirmed I wasn't selected to continue in the process, weeks after the last interview.
- What would be your trademarketing strategy for a given business case?
UX Designer
I interviewed for the UX Design Intern role and it was a good, structured process. It had 3 parts. First, a quick HR screening call to chat about my background, interest, and availability. Then, a technical interview with 3 UX team members. They wanted me to present one of my UX projects for about 25-30 minutes, then we had 20-30 minutes of questions. They asked about how I found the problem, checked with users, and decided it was worth it. Also asked about the metrics I used to measure my design's success. They cared about strategy and process, not just looks. Lastly, a behavioral interview with HR about soft skills, like handling team conflict and showing leadership. It was a nice chat. Overall, a positive and thoughtful experience. I liked the mix of technical and behavioral parts, and that I got to ask questions. It was cool to share my design thinking and meet the team.
- How did you identify that this was the right UX problem to solve?
Retail & Shopper Marketing Manager
A typical interview begins with a brief welcome and some small talk to create a comfortable atmosphere. Then, you'll be asked to introduce yourself – talk about your career path, your experience, and your strengths. After that, the recruiter will explain the position, the team, and the main tasks. This is followed by some questions about your motivation, your current knowledge, or your availability. At the end of the conversation, you'll have the opportunity to ask your own questions. Finally, there will be a brief discussion about the next steps (e.g., a second interview or feedback in the coming days).
