Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Colgate-Palmolive.
Financial Analyst
After my application was reviewed, I got to talk to three different managers about the job. They asked a lot of questions about what I'd do in different situations that could come up.
- If your manager needed something set up and there was no existing process, how would you handle it?
Finance Analyst
The interview process started with an initial call involving HR and a manager. This was followed by a second round with the manager, their superior, and a case study involving an Excel task. The final stage was scheduled to be with the boss of the manager's boss. However, I found the whole process extremely disorganized and chaotic. They failed to follow up as promised and never provided additional information they said they would. What was particularly confusing is that later I applied for a different role at Colgate and they had no record of my previous interview stages or consideration for the other position.
- Can you speak German?
- What are your salary expectations?
Financial Analyst Intern
The interview process was nice and easy. I met the team first, and then I met the manager. Everyone was friendly, so I think it was a good experience. I think the position is easy and I can fulfill their requirements.
- Tell me about a time you went out of the box.
- Are you good at Excel?
- What Excel functions do you know?
