Payroll Implementation Specialist

I sent my CV for the Payroll Specialist position, and two days later, a very kind English woman contacted me. She explained that they had redirected me, appropriately, to the Payroll Implementation Specialist role, which is indeed more aligned with my profile. We arranged an introductory call (they were very flexible with the day and time). After a bit of small talk and her explaining why I was redirected to that role, she got straight to the point: she mentioned that my salary expectation (45k) was too high and asked how negotiable it was. I replied that it was not negotiable downwards at all, as it's only slightly more than what I currently earn. We parted ways very courteously, and that was the end of the process. Zero time wasted; I wish Italian companies operated like this! Everyone should take note.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process included an initial recruiter call, an interview with the current manager, an interview with the N+2 manager, and a call with the manager who was on maternity leave. I found the process frustrating due to a lack of feedback from the recruiter after each interview and no clear timeline or decision-making process regarding the final country placement. The recruiter's behavior was particularly problematic, as they allegedly failed to call me for four days, claiming I didn't answer, despite no voicemail being left. This changed only when I emailed all stakeholders, after which I received a call and voicemail within 10 minutes. My phone provider also confirmed no missed calls. This lack of professionalism and honesty was highly disappointing.

Applied directly and heard back within 5 days from the internal recruiter to schedule an initial call. An interview was scheduled for 7 days later with two Team Leads. The interview involved a presentation on specific topics and general questions, conducted online. After the interview, I had to chase for an update a week later and had another call with the internal recruiter. I was informed it wasn't a definite 'yes' or 'no' but they would follow up in a few days. This continued for another week with emails lacking substance. It's now been over 4 weeks since the interview, and I've received no feedback, update, or offer. Very disappointing to be ignored by the internal recruiter and CloudPay.

I applied to this Senior Software Engineer role online after seeing the posting on Linkedin. They mentioned there would be three interviews: an initial one, a technical one, and a final one. The first interview was with HR, mostly to go over my past experience and the technologies I've used. After that, they'd schedule the technical interview. This technical interview was a bit tough because I wasn't fully prepared. It was a panel interview with senior and lead tech people asking questions. They asked about Java, Spring, and some SQL. They also had coding exercises ready, and since I didn't have my laptop, I had to code on paper! It was an open camera interview. I think the questions themselves were straightforward, but I just wasn't ready for it.
