VP
Had a few informal 30-minute Zooms first. Then they flew me to NYC for an in-person presentation where I presented a campaign plan. I got high marks on the presentation itself. The CEO unexpectedly showed up during this time and asked some pretty concerning, borderline inappropriate questions. I later learned that the rest of the hiring team had already approved my hiring, but the CEO vetoed it. She is a really toxic person; employees have told me she's a terrible leader and doesn't really get marketing, yet she micromanages every marketing decision.

Software Engineer
I applied online and heard back from a recruiter about a week later. After that initial call, they set up a tech screen. It took about two weeks to get an update, and then they changed the tech screen to a take-home assignment. Once I finished the take-home, I waited another week for the final round, which had one behavioral and one technical interview. Another two weeks passed before I heard back. After the final round, they wanted me to have a casual chat with one of the directors. Three more weeks went by, and then I got the rejection.
- Questions about data structures like stacks and queues were asked, specifically to implement undo/redo and a banking system with cashback.
- Behavioral questions were standard.
Product Manager
It was a pretty standard product manager interview loop, starting with a recruiter chat and then moving into typical interview rounds. The whole thing took about a month and the difficulty was pretty average. They were good about telling me what was next and why the job was important -- basically to grow the company beyond its main product.

Director of Business Development
Clear is a great brand. I applied and the HR recruiter was super nice and friendly. Super responsive and professional too. Then got passed on to the hiring manager. He was sharp. I imagine he would be a demanding boss which is not a bad thing as I like to work hard. However, he wasn’t particularly friendly and slightly egotistical. I wouldn’t want to have worked for him and almost let him know that during the interview. We didn’t really see eye to eye but that’s not to say others couldn’t get along with him and still probably learn a good amount from him too. If interested in the role, make sure to really showcase your prospecting expertise as they’re looking for really strong hunters that will grind it out.

“Find the 1-indexed position of a value in a sorted array in logarithmic time. If the value isn't found, return the negative of the 1-indexed position where it should be inserted. For example, finding an element at index 0 should return 1, and if it should be inserted at index 0, return -1. Test cases were provided.”
