First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clark Construction Group.
Assistant Superintendent
I started with a Microsoft Teams interview with a Regional Executive, who was a really polite and knowledgeable guy. He then advanced me to the next stage, which involved a site visit and interviews with the site team. The second interview was a one-on-one with another project executive on site. After that, I spoke with the Lead Project Manager and Lead Superintendent. Finally, I walked the job site with the superintendent, discussing schedules, subcontractors, and the scope of work. It was a positive experience overall.
- Tell me about your leadership styles and what makes you stand out from other applicants.
Intern
It was pretty chill and conversational. Make sure you know your resume inside and out and keep it updated. Focus on adding technical skills, not soft skills. They'll want to see that you've prepared some questions for them. Also, be ready to talk about what you hope to gain from this experience.
- Can you share an instance where you stepped up to lead a group project?
Project Engineer
It was a pretty straightforward process. I first talked to a recruiter. Then, I went on-site and met with three different people. The interview seemed to go well, but unfortunately, I never heard back from HR even after trying to reach out multiple times. It was really disappointing to have invested my time and not get any response, not even a rejection.
- Can you elaborate on your past experiences?
Project Controls
It went better than I expected. No technical questions, just behavioral ones. They asked things like what do you know about Clark or why construction. There were three interview rounds total. The first was with the recruiter, and the other two were with the hiring manager or the team.
- What is your motivation for choosing Clark?
