First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Clark Construction Group.
Intern
It was pretty chill and conversational. Make sure you know your resume inside and out and keep it updated. Focus on adding technical skills, not soft skills. They'll want to see that you've prepared some questions for them. Also, be ready to talk about what you hope to gain from this experience.
- Can you share an instance where you stepped up to lead a group project?
Intern
I got an invite to do a video interview for Clark through TakeTheInterview. I had 72 hours to do it, but I was traveling, so I got an extension. I'd suggest doing the practice interview first, it really helps you see what the camera picks up behind you and how to pace yourself. You can do it as many times as you want. The practice interview has a written response example, but Clark's interview only had video responses. When I started, I had like 30 seconds to read and think about the question before it started recording. It was about 1.5 to 2 minutes for each of the three questions. All three questions were behavioral. Once you start the real interview, you can't redo or pause your answers. Just make sure you're ready, have water, and your space is quiet.
- What led to your choice of university and academic program?
- Describe an instance where you experienced failure.
- What are your motivations for pursuing a career in Construction or specifically with Clark Construction?
Intern
I had to record myself answering some questions they gave me. I got about 45 seconds to read each question and 2 minutes to answer. There were about 6 questions in total, and the whole thing took around 20 minutes.
- Can you share an instance from your past work where you resolved an issue?
