The interview was virtual via Skype, super short at 10 minutes. It's a city government gig so there were a bunch of weird rules, like not looking away and doing a 360 webcam scan to show you're alone. They called 30 mins early to check your ID with an HR person. Two interviewers were there for the actual interview. Honestly, don't waste too much time prepping, it felt like they already had someone picked.

After the initial screening, candidates go through an interview where we look at their resumes, portfolios, and ask some technical questions. They'll then be shown some images and asked to analyze one, discuss potential improvements, and mention the equipment they'd use to get that shot.

Technical Behavioral Presentation
This whole process takes a while, man. Mine took more than 4 months from when I first applied. I put in my application on June 7th. Got an interview notice on August 10th and had my first test/interview on August 23rd. Got my score and was put on the eligible list on September 4th. I got a 93 and was ranked 2nd or 3rd. Then, I got a call to report for a job on October 17th. I had another interview on October 22nd and they offered me the job the very next day. It was a long haul, but the interviews themselves were okay. The first one, the 'examination interview,' had a panel from different departments, and they asked general stuff about my history and what I've accomplished. The second interview was with two people from the department I was applying to, and they asked more specific questions about how I'd handle different situations related to their work. The interviewers were pretty cool, and I'm really excited to work with them.
