First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CITIC Securities.
Investment Banking Intern
It was a basic tech and behavioral questions interview. For the office, they care about whether you can make it 5 days a week and onboard ASAP. The analyst was quite nice, very chill, and willing to teach; it was a good experience.
- Tell me about your strengths and when you can start.
- What are your learning goals for this internship?
- Are you available to work a full five-day week?
Sales And Trading Analyst
The interview kicked off with a self-introduction. Following that, I was asked a series of questions probing my past experience as detailed on my resume, with a particular emphasis on responsibilities and perspectives on the future market. The interview then transitioned to derivatives-related questions, covering topics such as greeks and the process of gamma hedging.
- Could you explain your interest in this role?
- What differentiates you from the numerous other candidates?
Settlement Officer
The interview process was really good and organized. First, I had a phone chat with HR, then there were 3 more interviews with the team. The interviewers knew their stuff and were nice, asking questions about my skills, experience, and if I'd be a good fit.
- Please introduce yourself.
- How familiar are you with this industry?
Analyst
The interview process involved a stock pitch, a question about why you want to join the company, and a discussion of your weaknesses. There was a panel interview with 5 interviewers and not many technical questions were asked. Note that if you are a female candidate, HR might inquire about personal matters such as marriage status and children.
- Can you explain why you are interested in our company and specifically our Beijing office?
