First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Christian Louboutin.
Sales Assistant
The interview process had 4 stages to get the job. It was a long process, but the interviewer was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. The only downside was it took place in the BT restaurant, not in an office, which might make some people really nervous.
- What are your friends' descriptions of you?
Sales Associate
I interviewed for the Assistant Boutique Manager position back in August. Honestly, the whole experience was pretty disappointing. The interviewer wasn't exactly the friendliest, and it felt more like a business transaction than a real conversation. They said I'd get updates, but then I heard nothing for over four weeks. I sent a few polite follow-ups, even offering to be considered for a Sales Associate role since I was so flexible, but never got any real response or closure. It was surprising, considering it's a luxury brand that's all about client experience and professionalism, to be treated with such a lack of communication and courtesy. Waiting a whole month without any news, especially after being told I'd hear back, felt really disrespectful of my time and effort. The whole process just seemed to drag on and be dismissive, which isn't what you'd expect from a place like Christian Louboutin.
- How would you approach training someone who has difficulty with upselling or closing sales?
Intern
They interviewed me once with the PR department and then the final interview was with the team I would be working with. Both people were very nice and helpful, and complimented my resume and answers. The biggest con is that they never contacted me if I got the position or not. I would've liked the respect of being able to know after getting to the final interview. I had emailed them following up asking for an update kindly and was left on delivered. Felt very disrespectful.
- What motivates your interest in this company?
- Could you provide a summary of your resume?
Project Manager
It was a chill interview, the person interviewing me was super into it and really nice. They explained the job really well, and they actually answered my follow-up emails, which is something that's never happened to me before in job searches. Didn't end up getting an offer though, but honestly, it was the best interview experience I've had so far.
