& Process

First, there were HR discussions. Then, they scheduled an in-person interview with the data and business team. They suggested another round, but I didn't make it to that stage. The in-person interview was at the office with people, and then joining on Teams online. It was a very friendly and compassionate atmosphere.

After applying, I had a phone chat with the recruiter, then interviewed with the hiring manager, and finally with some team members. The whole process spanned almost 3 months. There wasn't much feedback given, and no idea of timelines. After my last interview with the team I would be working with, I didn't hear anything back for 3 weeks, and then they told me I didn't make it. It's surprising for a company that says it's mission-driven and cares about people, that Chobani would treat potential employees with such a lack of empathy. Interviewees deserve to know what's going on and be treated with respect. This process was so long that I ended up taking another job while waiting for Chobani HR. If recruiting takes this long, it points to a big issue with HR, not the candidates.

It was a really straightforward process. It began with an initial phone screen with a very knowledgeable hiring specialist who asked standard work history/experience questions. They also provided information on the job and company. This was followed by a Teams interview with the hiring manager. They presented themselves very professionally and asked unique questions that I wasn't used to seeing. The last step was an on-site interview with 3 VPs of the company and the hiring specialist. It was not intimidating at all; they were very friendly but asked high-level questions.

The whole thing took about 6 weeks. First was a 45-minute zoom with the recruiter. Then, a 45-minute meeting with the Sales Manager and another Sales Rep. After that, I had to prep and give a mock sales call presentation to the regional sales managers. It was a long process, and then I was put on hold for two more weeks before they told me they went with someone who had more specific industry experience. It was a good chance to learn about the company, but honestly, the whole process felt like a waste of time and I feel used because they liked my sales ideas and said they'd use them with their team but didn't offer me the job. They should really shorten the interview process if they aren't going to offer the role. I tried to get feedback from HR but never heard back.
