Behavioral Technical

There were many rounds of interviews, including behavioral interviews. The quantitative researchers I spoke with were all very nice. For the behavioral part, it seems more important that the team likes you rather than just giving the right answers. The HR team was quite unprofessional; they never responded to emails. When I followed up for a status update, I found out I had been removed and blocked by the HR person in charge.

Technical

There was an online aptitude test where I had to solve different kinds of problems, including math, pattern recognition, and grammar. It was important to stay focused because the questions changed quickly. At the end, there was an optional survey that took a lot of time.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process involved a recruiter call and some technical rounds. They seemed to really focus on behavioral aspects, possibly more than technical skills, because they kept mentioning they don't want to hire 'a-holes.' It was a bit strange because I haven't encountered issues with that at other places, and other companies tend to look for humbleness and guide candidates more subtly. Recruiters were pretty quick, and overall it was a fine experience, though I have different ideas about what they should prioritize in interviews.

Technical Behavioral

Got a ping from a recruiter. Had an initial chat that was a mix of technical and behavioral stuff with a senior recruiter at CTC. Then, they sent me straight to an onsite interview with a bunch of technical and behavioral rounds. They really seemed to focus on "tell me about a time when..." type questions. After that, the recruiter said I got "positive feedback" and I was supposed to move to team matching, but it's been crickets for months. Super unprofessional and a massive waste of my time.

  • Tell me about your experience with multithreading and object-oriented programming.
  • Describe behavioral scenarios.
