Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chicago Trading Company.
Trader
I had multiple technical and behavioral interviews all on the same day. I met with many different team members and got to ask team-related questions, which made for an informative interview process.
- Can you share an instance where you had to influence someone?
Trader
It was a standard interview process with three rounds. We kicked things off with a hiring manager screen, then moved on to meet with some traders on the desk, and finally wrapped up with an on-site interview. The questions were mostly about trading strategy and handling trading decisions, not so much about math and stats.
- What are your thoughts on basic trading strategies?
- How do you approach making trading decisions?
Trader
This was a very challenging process. The math and logic questions were really tough. The behavioral part was alright, though not very conversational. Recruiting timeline was simple and direct. They responded quickly.
