First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Chamberlain Group.
HR Head
The interview for an HR Head role is strategic. It involves looking at your leadership, asking competency-based questions, checking if you fit the culture, and discussing HR strategy. There will be case studies about change and talent management, and an executive round to see your vision and decision-making.
- What is the most effective way to lead the HR team?
Software Engineer
I went through a virtual interview with some basic software engineering questions. I thought it went good but was ghosted. Don't think I met their view of what an engineer is. The manager was late but hey I am forgiving. After reading the reviews, maybe me being ghosted was a blessing in disguise.
- Basic OOP questions?
- Tell me about your past projects
Sales Manager
For this role, I had to complete an MBA-style case study, which involved creating a detailed report on a given business scenario. Following the report, there was a 30-minute video presentation of my findings, which included a Q&A session. The company is US-based, but they were specifically looking for a Canadian business leader for their smart home business segment. The core idea I was asked to explore was leveraging the brand name to build an ecosystem that would drive increased product sales.
- Regarding the case study, what is the market size, and how does the business currently generate revenue?
- Can you outline a strategy for launching a new product and explain how it would be positioned against competitors?
Data Product Analyst
It was 3 rounds. HR, SVP, and Hiring Manager. Quick interviews, however, the rejection email made me know that they are using candidate to see what background and skills they are really looking for. They are looking for an Engineer instead of an Analyst. It was very different with what I heard from HR and SVP. So I assume there will be no training period after on-board.
- Explain how SQL processes logic.
