First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Centric Business Systems.
Sales Representative
Round 1 was an interview with their VP of sales. Round 2 was an online personality assessment, I think 15 minutes. Round 3 was a ride-along with a current field rep to see what the job is like. Round 3 was supposed to be a 1-hour sales pitch to the current Centric team to show them you have what it takes to close the deal, but I never had it. My problem was, the company ended up hiring an internal candidate after Round 3 without informing me, which is their right to do but also not professional. I only found out after 2 weeks of waiting when I got in touch with a third-party familiar with the process.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in outside sales?
- Describe a situation where you successfully handled a tough challenge. What was it, and what steps did you take to resolve it?
Account Executive
I initially applied for a Regional position but was told I didn't qualify due to experience. Then, I interviewed for a sales role. The recruiter was very professional. We had a phone interview, then a Skype interview, followed by a face-to-face meeting with the District Manager. After that, I took an aptitude test. It's been over two weeks since the test, and I haven't heard back despite sending one email and making two phone calls. After going through four steps, they wouldn't even discuss compensation, which is very unprofessional.
- Are you interested in returning to a field you were in more than 10 years ago?
Field Service Technician
I had two phone interviews, first with a recruiter and then with their manager. After that, I had to take an online personality test, which was pretty tricky if you ask me. Then, I had an in-person interview with the General Manager that lasted almost 2 hours, and he was a really cool guy! We seemed to have a lot in common. Finally, there was another in-person interview with the GM and the Vice president.
- What do you know about the Company?
- Tell us about yourself.
Sales Manager
Went through a recruiter screen, then another recruiter screen. After that, I had a phone call with two different people. The last step was an in-person meeting with someone else. It felt like a waste of time because they were very unorganized. The in-person interview seemed thrown together last minute and the manager didn't seem engaged.
- Can you provide your W-2 to confirm your current salary?
- Could you describe your leadership style?
