The interview process was quick and nice. I had 4 interviews in total, two on Zoom and two in person on the same day. After my first interview with the hiring manager, I was invited to a Zoom interview with more senior team members. I felt like I messed up this interview because there was no non-verbal communication, though it might have just been the Zoom format. The whole process was just question after question. It was a good company, I met some cool people, and overall it was a good experience where things moved along fast.

The interview process is a multifaceted evaluation method employers use to assess a candidate's qualifications, experience, and potential fit within the organization. It typically involves several stages, like phone screenings, in-person interviews, technical assessments, and behavioral questions. This process allows hiring managers to get a comprehensive understanding of a candidate's skills, expertise, and suitability for the role.

We started with a quick phone screen that led to an invite for a group interview with about 20 people, lasting around 2 hours. The main things they were looking for were a passion for food and a caring attitude towards people. We did some arts and crafts and then a "resume" presentation where I used it to quickly talk about my background and my love for food. Afterwards, we worked with a partner on scenarios to figure out customer service issues. There was also a food identification quiz with 10 items, which was pretty tough because some were unusual, but the advice was to just do your best using smell, taste, and touch, and show genuine interest. Following the group session, I got a call for a 1-on-1 meeting with the manager, which was a more typical 30-minute interview. They were firm on pay, with no room for negotiation, so it was essentially a take-it-or-leave-it offer.

So we were invited to what they called a 'Job Fair' but it was actually a group interview. First, there was a quick one-on-one screening with some random manager that everyone seemed to pass. Then, the main event: you had to make a resume out of craft supplies - like, legit construction paper, glue, pipe cleaners, the whole nine yards. After that, you had 30 seconds to present your masterpiece to the group, which now included a panel of managers. Then we broke into smaller groups to tackle a customer service scenario. Next, we had to identify 10 different products from the store. The craziest part? We had to ASSEMBLE A LEGO BOAT together as a group while the managers watched. After that, another customer service question. Then the managers disappeared for about 30 minutes to discuss us, leaving us waiting. Finally, they called us out one by one to either offer a follow-up interview or just say thanks. The whole thing took FOUR HOURS.
