First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CDS (Club Demonstration Services).
Sales Associate
We started with a quick call to check if I was available and had the basic experience they were looking for. Then, I went in for an in-person chat where they asked me about my customer service skills and my availability for work.
- What is your weekly work availability?
Product Demonstrator
The interview process was straightforward and simple. Upon arrival at the store (Costco in my case), I informed the staff that I was there for an interview, and they directed me to the interview room. Despite the store being busy, which led to a short wait, the overall experience was quite relaxed.
- Can you share an instance where you provided customer service?
- Are you able to stand for extended periods?
- What are your methods for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation during food preparation?
Sales Advisor
I saw a job posting for a Part-time Sales Advisor on the CDS website and went for a walk-in interview which they hold every Wednesday. I talked to the manager about the role, and she explained the job, duties, responsibilities, and how everything works. A few days later, I went in again for the interview with her.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What is your availability?
- Are you able to work on weekends?
Shift Supervisor
First, I had a video call with the person I was texting with. After that, I interviewed with two event managers, one who would be my direct supervisor and another who was there for support. Both times felt really welcoming, and after they asked me questions, they wanted to chat more casually, like friends, which made me feel comfortable. We even shared some laughs.
- What would you do if a team member told you a coworker wasn't doing their job right?
- Could you talk about the previous jobs on your resume?
- Can you elaborate on some of the skills you've listed?
