So the standard process was phone screening, then an HR interview, then a writing sample, and finally the hiring manager interview. At first, they were super proactive and quick with communication. But after the last interview, they totally ghosted me for two weeks. HR didn't reply when I asked for an update, and then I just got a rejection email that didn't even get my name right. Throughout the whole thing, HR couldn't even answer my questions about the job or the team. I never felt like they were trying to convince me to join them, either. It was very corporate and formal, like I should be grateful for the chance and they didn't need to try.

I had a quick phone screen, then a Zoom call about a week later with the same recruiter. It turned out they were interviewing me for a different role than I applied for, one I don't have experience in. The recruiter even said it'd be tough without prior experience, so it was weird they interviewed me. My questions got really general answers. She wasn't sure where I'd be working and said the whole hiring thing takes like four months. It just felt confusing and unclear overall.

I applied to CCS in August 2024 and they took me through the whole process, only to reject me with a generic email. A year later, I circled back to HR and asked to interview again. They agreed, and I interviewed with HR on October 10. Then they had me do an extensive writing exercise (the same one as last summer), which I submitted on October 24. After following up, I heard back from HR only to be rejected again. I won't be interviewing here again. Not only am I qualified, but their communication is not good and they won't give candidates feedback on writing assignments that take hours of uncompensated work.

The interview process was pretty standard and well-run. There were three rounds. First, I had an intake call with the recruiter to talk about my background, if I was a good fit for the role, and general expectations. Then, I had a more in-depth interview with the hiring manager about my experience, how I solve problems, and how I communicate. The last round was meeting some team members to see if I’d fit in and work well with them. Every part felt thought out and structured, which gave me a good idea of the company culture and what the job would be like day-to-day.
