IT Specialist
First, you'll have a screening call with a recruiter to go over the job description. Then, you'll meet with the hiring department team members to see how you fit with the team and check your experience and knowledge. After that, you'll interview with the hiring manager for another experience and knowledge check. Lastly, there might be an interview with the hiring manager's boss(s), depending on their schedule.
- Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
- What are your career aspirations?
- How do you handle achieving goals in stressful and busy times?
Director
The interview process was underway, and I completed three video interviews without yet speaking to the hiring manager. I was then informed I would advance to the final round, which required me to deliver a presentation to a panel, including the hiring manager I had not spoken to. This should have been my indication. Upon logging into the video conference, the hiring manager was absent. As I concluded, I heard the hiring manager's voice for the first time, stating, 'I already saw your presentation,' and asking if I had questions. This was quite rude. To have someone invest time in creating a presentation and then not attend the call is disrespectful. The HR department did maintain communication and follow up effectively, but this experience foreshadowed what it might be like working under that manager. Ultimately, it was fortunate I did not receive an offer, given the complete waste of my time.

- Prepare and deliver a 30-minute presentation
Software Engineer
The interview process is pretty straightforward. If you've practiced medium-level LeetCode problems, understand your core concepts well, and can talk about your past projects, you should be good. There are a total of 4 technical rounds: the first is L1 Coding, the second is L2 Coding & Fundamentals, the third is L3 focusing on Language & Fundamentals, and the final one is the Hiring Manager Round.
- Did you practice easy to medium leetcode questions?
- Are you familiar with language related questions?
- How about computer science fundamentals?
Data Warehouse Principal Engineer
My interview experience with Castlight India, Hyderabad was long, over a month for 4 rounds, each 1 hour. HR feedback was good and documents were processed. But in the end, HR stated they hired an internal associate and did not release an offer. I advise against interviewing with Castlight India as it's a waste of time. They seem to do things in reverse, checking internally only after dragging the process for over a month, possibly to see if an internal candidate emerges or is ready to join. I'm very disappointed.
